”Marii beneficiari economici ai libertatii sunt saracii, ale caror salarii reale cresc odata cu investitiile de capital privat (autohton si strain) in economia libera si care nu mai sunt impiedicati sa depasească rapid pragul mizeriei, prin acceptarea de slujbe initial modeste, rivalizarea, inca din copilarie, cu mana de lucru mai pretentioasa deja existenta, iar apoi sa surclaseze si sa elimine de multe ori din afaceri firme consacrate, dar neprotejate politic” (Dan Cristian Comanescu). Asa ca nu ar trebui sa mire pe nimeni vazand din cine este compus electoratul fidel lui Ron Paul. Jumatate din voturile celor sub 30 de ani s-au indreptat spre congresmanul din Texas. De asemenea, dintre cei care castiga sub 30.000 de dolari/an, aproximativ 37% si-au afirmat sustinerea pentru candidatul care pariaza totul pe Constitutie. Mai toate statisticile duc catre aceeasi concluzie... Cel putin la fel de interesant, si ca o confirmare suplimentara a tezei lui Mises, este si faptul ca nici macar un miliardar nu a contribuit cu vreun dolar la campania lui Ron Paul. Spre comparatie, Mitt Romney, principalul favorit al republicanilor pentru alegerile de anul acesta, a avut parte de sustinerea financiara a 42 de miliardari. Mai mult chiar si decat presedintele in exercitiu, Barack Obama... In suma, alianta dintre mari politicieni, mari afaceristi, mari intelectuali si mari jurnalisti lucreaza din greu pentru propasirea socialismului....Iar solutiile si ideile lui Ron Paul primesc eticheta de “copilaroase” si/sau “periculoase”, in timp ce el este alintat “cranky”, “crazy”si, fireste, “rasist”. |




Un mit socialist, demult spulberat de Ludwig von Mises si Murray Rothbard, afirma ca principalii beneficiari ai capitalismului sunt bogatii, cei avuti. Pentru economistii austrieci insa, burghezia si marii afaceristi nu au aproape nimic liberal in structura de interese. Ceea ce ii preocupa primordial este eliminarea competitorilor reali sau potentiali, cu ajutorul statului, prin diverse formule: subventii, reglementari, preturi preferentiale, etc. In viata de zi cu zi, fumigenele care mascheaza acest jaf economic poarta nume precum: “incurajarea agriculturii (sau a oricarui alt domeniu)”, “parteneriat public-privat in domenii strategice”, “protectia consumatorului”, samd.
