Cererea fiind considerabila, oferta politica nu s-a lasat asteptata si a lansat in ultimele sase luni mai multe proiecte decat in cei 20 si ceva de ani de experimente cu o singura ideologie. Asa au aparut fel de fel de oameni noi, personaje odihnite, cariere manageriale au fost semiabandonate de dragul implicarii patriotice, etc. Dreapta politica reprezinta, in acest moment, bastionul imaginar din care sunt lansate misiuni izbavitoare. Liderul Salvator exista in chestionarele sociologice, apare in focus grupuri, deci trebuie inventat cat mai repede. Si acum o scurta paranteza. Ron Paul are 77 de ani si a candidat de trei ori la presedintie. Si-a inceput cariera politica pe la inceputul anilor ’70, continuata cu mai putin sau mai mult succes pana astazi. A fost ridiculizat, ignorat, marginalizat, dar nu a facut nicio concesie. Spune aceleasi lucruri in permanenta. Este orice, numai o figura noua nu. Discursurile lui nu stralucesc (un mare teoretician libertarian spunea ca nu il poate urmari), nu danseaza la emisiuni, nu are multi fani celebri, nu reprezinta omul Providenta, nu te seduce prin stil. Si cu toate astea, ideile lui, de bun simt, (etalon aur, reducerea cheltuielilor, izolationism, etc) sunt de negasit in orice alta tabara politica, fiind din acest punct de vedere mai proaspete decat orice declinare a unui tanar abia iesit din laboratoarele consultantilor politici. Bine, bine, dar care este relevanta celor doua situatii?, se poate intreba cititorul. Pai, sugestia ar fi ca ideile conteaza, iar oamenii (politici) trebuie judecati in primul rand pentru filosofia sociala promovata, si nu neaparat pentru asezarea lor temporala, chiar daca unii dintre ei pot fi persoane absolut oneste si admirabile. Pentru ca, dupa cum stim de la von Mises, socialismul nu functioneaza nici macar pentru ingeri. Asa ca, de pilda, oricat de bun matematician si ecologist ar fi Nicusor Dan, el nu reprezinta nicio modificare fundamentala fata de perspectiva Ion Iliescu “proprietatea privata este un moft”. Schimbati figura, dar ideile raman aceleasi. De asemenea, nu e nimic nou nici in ideile fostului prim-ministru Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, care doreste un guvern minim in relatia cu cetatenii, dar vrea ca statul sa colecteze cu aproape 30% mai multe venituri la buget, fata de cat ia in prezent. Aceasta idee se intalneste, de la stanga la dreapta, fara niciun fel de discriminare. Nu inseamna insa ca are vreo valoare economica (cu cat statul cheltuie mai mult, cu atat individul cheltuie mai putin, foarte pe scurt). In concluzie, suntem prizonierii ideilor, nu ai oamenilor. “Suntem toti keynesisti acum” (Nixon) si nu prea reusim sa spargem aceasta paradigma. Schimbam figurile, inlocuim lozincile, le coloram altfel, ne entuziasmam pe moment, insa la final ramanem neconsolati. Nu avem nevoie de oameni noi, ci de idei vechi, unele foarte vechi, preferabil dinainte de 1789!

Plictisul si greata de politica actuala au indreptat atentia spre figuri noi, capabile sa resusciteze tarisoara. Cateva milioane de dezamagiti sunt in cautarea unui tanar autor capabil sa le rescrie destinul nefericit. Vor si ei “o tara ca afara”, intelegand prin asta confort material si relatii sociale bine formalizate.
