Dialectica alegerilor lasa oamenilor impresia ca exista optiuni reale care pot fi accesate, ca votul lor chiar conteaza si ca se poate distinge intre Mitt Obama si Barrack Romney. In realitate, lucrurile stau pe dos. Se schimba doar culorile circului, prioritatile socialismului (razboi si sovietizarea economiei/ viceversa) si fetele actorilor. Regizorii din spatele scenei raman neschimbati, asa cum a recunoscut intr-un act doar partial ratat Carroll Quigley, mentorul lui Bill Clinton. “Argumentul ca cele doua partide politice trebuie sa reprezinte idealuri si filozofii opuse, ale Dreptei si ale Stangii, este o idee prosteasca, acceptabila numai pentru doctrinari si ganditori academici. In schimb, cele doua partide ar trebui sa fie aproape identice, pentru ca poporul american sa scape de ticalosi la fiecare alegeri fara ca aceasta sa duca la o schimbare profunda sau extrema in ceea ce priveste politicile desfasurate” (“Tragedy and Hope”) Astfel, Barrack Obama, desi vazut ca un pacifist, a bombardat cu trei tari mai mult decat “vulturul razboinic” George W. Bush. In timp ce oponentul sau, campionul “politicilor de piata”, nu a avut in campanie nicio problema majora cu socializarea sistemului de asigurari medicale, cu banca centrala, cu salvarea corporatiilor falimentare, cu stimularea monetara a economiei, samd. Asa ca alege daca poti…Insa pentru multi oameni ramane iluzia ca au intr-adevar vreun rol in procesul democratic. Si cum bine spunea cineva, doar cei care nu voteaza au dreptul sa comenteze. Ceilalti culeg ce au semanat… |




Din cand in cand devine necesar sa apelezi la poncife, “toti o apa si-un pamant”, sa zicem, pentru iesi din situatii absurde. De pilda, alegerile din SUA au provocat si la noi in tara atitudini de galerie politica. “Victoria lui Obama ne-a cedat rusilor”, “triumful comunismului”, “Romney a pierdut din cauza avortului”, etc. Credeam ca e destul de clara lipsa unor diferente esentiale intre cei doi candidati, mai ales dupa patru ani de guvernare democrata, insa m-am inselat. Acum totul pare pierdut pentru unii, in timp ce altii jubileaza adolescentin la gandul ca planeta va avea un presedinte mai rational.
