Pe de alta parte, nu mi-e foarte limpede de ce ar vrea cineva sa sarbatoreasca botezul sau, ma rog, numirea copilului. De regula, copilul primeste numele la maternitate, iar ulterior botezul are doar o semnificatie religioasa. Dar la o adica, de ce nu?! Sa fim liberi, sa fim nebuni…In aceeasi directie a sacramentelor laice, asociatia poate introduce un Maslu, cu fragmente memorabile din Charles Darwin si Richard Dawkins, de citit la capul celui pe care Stiinta nu l-a putut pentru moment salva. Daca toata intreprinderea se dovedeste un succes se poate infiinta chiar o biserica in toata regula. In fiecare duminica, oamenii ar putea sa se adune pentru o ceremonie sobra in care un oficiant sau, probabil, mai multi, in functie de importanta momentului, vor psalmodia din “Originea speciilor”, “Gena egoista”, “O scurta istorie a Universului”, samd. Cei care ofenseaza Stiinta isi vor putea rascumpara greseala prin metanii instotite de mantre evolutioniste. Iar locul preotului la spovedanie ar putea fi luat de un psiholog behaviorist care in loc de ascultarea benevola ar putea folosi unde electrice pentru eliminarea memoriilor neplacute. Daca va ganditi sa propuneti infiintarea unui calendar, aflati ca ASUR are deja patru ani de cand realizeaza un memento al marilor realizari stiintifice. Fiecare zi din an sarbatoreste un om sau o intamplare remarcabila. De pilda, anul trecut pe 25 decembrie secular-umanistii au mancat piftia, soriciul, friptura si cozonacul in cinstea lui Isaac Newton. In loc de Paste, fanii ASUR au celebrat prima cale ferata din Europa. Cine va fi marele preot al cultului nu mi-e clar din moment ce toti suntem niste “gene egoiste”, insa e cert ca nu va fi lipsa de candidati. Probabil nu se va numi biserica toata intreprinderea asta, dar nu prea conteaza exact ce denumire ii vor da. Asociatie suna destul de bine, zic eu.
Acum, e usor sa iei in deradere orice initiativa mai serioasa. Mai ales una sincera si inteligenta precum ultima gaselnita a ASUR. Iar eu cred ca este prima campanie inteligenta a asociatiei, chiar daca pe ici, pe colo, are si probleme. Si asta pentru ca, secularistii nostri si-au dat seama, intr-un final, ca nu vor putea misca o piatra cu idei de tipul “Aprinde Flacara Stiintei”, “Cu mic, cu mare…prin univers”, "afara cu religi din scoli" si altele asemanatoare. In schimb, cu sentimente fierbinti, chiar si cu o ura arzatoare, dinti scrasniti si irationalitate cat cuprinde, ai toate sansele sa te faci ascultat si sa ridici masele. Cu educatie stiintifica si initiative din prima banca a scolii, “Science is fun”, poti adormi o lume intreaga. Insa cu “Darwin Day”, niste vin bun si un motiv de sarbatoare, poti trezi un univers. Chesterton, intr-un pamflet superb, "Christmas and the Aesthetes", a surprins cel mai bine esenta acestei cruciade futile impotriva sarbatorilor religioase. Oamenii inteleg mult mai usor irationaliatea decat rationalul, spune el, “de aceea stiinta a aparut atat de tarziu si nu s-a raspandit deloc, in timp ce religia a aparut atat de devreme si s-a raspandit peste tot”. Si tot el marturisea ca nu ar pune mana sa citeasca pozitivismul lui Comte pentru nimic in lume, dar s-ar vedea fara probleme aprinzand cu entuziasm un foc de Ziua lui Darwin. Sa aprindem si noi macar o lumanare pentru secularistii nostri… |
