In fine, daca ne referim strict la piata serviciilor de sanatate, ar trebui sa fie clar ca astfel de proiecte nu vor aduce mai nimic bun. Ba, dimpotriva. Este frumos sa ne gandim ca medicii ar trebui sa serveasca pacientii din caritate si omenie, insa e naiv. In formularea lui Bogdan Glavan, sanatatea nu e o marfa, dar are un pret. Iar pretul platit pentru serviciile medicale de stat il constituie spaga care se ofera medicului pentru fiecare serviciu prestat. Si efectele adverse apar cu regularitate, de cele mai multe ori pentru pacienti, dar si pentru doctori. In primul rand, pacientul este nevoit sa dea bani practic de doua ori (impozit + spaga) pentru aceleasi servicii, fara niciun fel de control a ceea ce primeste (casta doctorilor de stat va actiona la unison in cazuri de malpraxis, cu mici exceptii, iar reputatia spitalului are prea putin de suferit, deoarece aproape tot sistemul este socializat). Apoi, doctorii devin santajabili in orice moment, deoarece chiar daca multi nu pretind (si aici trebuie amintiti oameni precum Alexandru Pesamosca), oamenii le ofera ceva din obisnuinta. Si, cum cei mai multi accepta, rezulta ca material de lucru pentru procurori exista din plin. Din fericire, nimeni nu are vreun interes sa lupte serios cu coruptia in acest domeniu, caci altfel am vedea o scadere si mai abrupta a standardelor din sistem. Iar din nefericire, nimeni nu are vreun interes sa schimbe lucrurile cu adevarat, adica sa privatizeze serviciile de sanatate. Medicii cu experienta traiesc, in linii mari, destul de bine, avand venituri din mai multe surse (salariu+mita+cabinete particulare+finantari de la companii farmaceutice). Pacientii se tem de sistemul privat deoarece luminatii zilei ameninta ca nu si-ar putea permite niciodata acest lucru (desi nimeni nu vorbeste de o anulare a contributiilor de sanatate in paralel cu privatizarea sistemului). Nu in ultimul rand, polticienii nu vor renunta niciodata la beneficiul de a strange o multime de bani sub pretextul ca furnizeaza sanatate, chiar daca recunosc implicit ca banii nu se duc unde ar trebui: “Reducem CAS-ul si marim acolo unde taxele sunt foarte mici”.

Un medic iranian de la Spitalul Malaxa este cercetat pentru mita, deoarece a pretins bani pentru a opera un pacient. O ruda a pacientului a sunat la Directia Generala Anticoruptie si astfel a fost prins doctorul cu arginti.
