Ca Romania nu a avut vreun beneficiu de pe urma aderarii la UE se poate vedea cu ceva rabdare din analize economice. Dar se poate deslusi acelasi inteles si din povestea unui familii de sasi intoarsa din Germania, relatata in Gandul. Paradoxal, ceea ce i-a repatriat pe sasi a fost tocmai absenta libertatii din Occident. “In primul rand, am vrut să fugim de UE, care vine cu tot felul de restristi pe capul omului, e de-a dreptul malefica. Dar nu ne gandeam ca o să ne ajunga din urma asa de repede si in Romania!”Din cauza propagandei nesfarsite, oamenii au asteptat ca pe o noua revolutie integrarea europeana, sperand ca printr-o decizie birocratica sa atinga, in primul rand, nivelul de trai din Vest. Insa ceea ce a importat Romania, in principal, a fost multimea de reglementari si directive din zone dintre cele mai variate cu putinta: de la pescuit la politici culturale. Nu le scapa nimic birocratilor bruxellezi, care produc anual zeci de noi “acte normative”. Si ce le scapa, este compensat de birocratii romani, din dorinta de aliniere la standardele euro-atlantice. “In 2007, pe 1 ianuarie, cand toata lumea din Romania nu vorbea decat despre cat de bine o sa ne mearga in UE, eu si sotia eram foarte tristi, am plans de parca ne murise mama. Nu ne-am bucurat deloc ca Romania intrase in UE, pentru ca stiam ce ne asteapta. De fapt, nu noi am aderat la UE, ei ne-au inghitit, e fals sa zici aderarea Romaniei la UE, corect e inghitirea Romaniei de catre UE, cucerirea Romaniei de catre UE”, rezuma situatia, pentru Gandul, unul dintre sasii intorsi sa faca agricultura acasa. Iar pentru tarani integrarea, de la care majoritatea, ce-i drept, astepta doar subventiile, a adus in primul rand blocajul la intrarea pe o piata si-asa nu foarte dezvoltata. Din cauza normelor si reglementarilor. Si opinia cvasigenerala, sustinuta discret si nu prea de marii producatori agricoli, este ca de vina sunt taranii pentru ca nu se cooperativizeaza. Si statul pentru ca nu subventioneaza “ca in Germania”. Si bancile, pentru ca nu dau credite mai ieftine. Si tot asa...Pana ne intoarcem din nou in comunism.
